Happy Holidays!

I hope that everyone is enjoying the Holiday season so far and are gearing up for Christmas! This is definitely the “most wonderful time of the year”, and I am rocking the Christmas CD’s in my car right now for sure!

We had a great, quick trip up to L.A. for Thanksgiving. We stuffed ourselves significantly, watched some football, and then headed back home to prepare for our big move in day. I was a little disappointed to have to cut our Thanksgiving weekend so short…we did not have the chance to embark on our annual Thanksgiving Basketball Game. The last two years Mark, my mom and dad, and Ryan and Elita (and Chase too!) all piled in the car and drove down to my old elementary school to play a 3-on-3 basketball game. The teams always are different, but we spend most of the time making fun of my mom and chasing Chase off the court! It is a blast, and I’m already looking forward to the tradition continuing next year!

I have been consumed the last couple of months with the new house, and we are FINALLY homeowners again and all moved in! (Clarification: we are all moved in but not “moved in”…boxes are still everywhere!) We’ve had to get some work done on the house, and next week I am getting some help from some friends and we are going to install laminate flooring in the living room. Yes, I will be helping to lay laminate flooring myself!!! I am actually really excited. I pride myself on being somewhat handy around the house, and this is something that is probably way out of my league but also a fun challenge. I’ll have to post pictures of the new floor next time I journal.

Chase is very excited for Santa’s visit this year, and though I don’t think he really “gets it” he talks about Christmas and has been singing Christmas carols a lot lately. It is so much fun to watch him continue to develop his personality and become more “human”. He is also learning how to get his way, so Mark and I have to be a little more firm than we want to be. :) We’ve got a sharp little cookie on our hands, and cannot wait to see his little eyes light up on Christmas morning!!

I hope EVERY ONE of you has the most blessed Holiday, and are lucky enough to share it with the ones you love. This is the BEST time of year to Dream BIG, and I pray that all of us will Dream BIG this holiday season and ALWAYS!

Merry Christmas,
Stacey
